Welcome New Graduate Students!

The CGC is happy to welcome all new graduate students to the Carleton University Communication program!

-Chair/facilitate regular monthly CGC meetings

-Liaison to Faculty Reps/Grad Supervisor (PhD level)

-Treasurer - Signing Authority

-represent PhD students at faculty level (attend dept. meetings)

-encourage and facilitate grad student participation in all CGC activities

Chelsea Fahey

2nd yr MA

-Chair/facilitate regular monthly CGC meetings

-Liaison to Faculty Reps/Grad Supervisor (MA level)

-Treasurer - Signing Authority

-represent MA students at faculty level (attend dept. meetings)

-encourage and facilitate grad student participation in all CGC activities

Communications Officer

Danielle Allard

1st yr MA

-attend monthly CGC council meetings

-facilitate e-mail correspondence within the council (circulate news, notes, meetings dates, etc.)

-take minutes in meetings, post to new CGC blog

-in-class promotion of CGC events with new MA/PhD students

Conference Organisers

Derek Noon & Vanessa Hall & Chelsea Fahey

-attend monthly CGC council meetings
-organize/manage conference event
-organize/manage committees of students volunteers

Social Co-Chairs aka SocialCoach

Laura Carlson & Daniel Kosir

2nd yr MA

-attend monthly CGC council meetings

-organize CGC events

GSA Rep

Vlada Mitskaniouk & Heather McBride

1st yr MA

-attend monthly CGC council meetings

-attend monthly meetings at GSA Council

-oversee funding application to GSA for academic/social events

-promote and participate in CGC events

MA 1 Rep

Cheslea Fahey

1st yr MA

-attend monthly CGC meetings

-communicate CGC info to MA1 class, and present concerns/questions from new students to CGC

-promote and participate in CGC events
